Our Dream

We are excited to share with you the dream that God has laid on our hearts – Launching Riverside Kirche in Bamberg, Germany.

The name Riverside is so fitting for a city like Bamberg with a river flowing through city. The Riverside is a place of newness, life, and hope.

We are dreaming of a church that gives life and hope while being relevant to our society. A church where people like you and me can get to KNOW GOD, FIND FREEDOM, DISCOVER PURPOSE, and CHANGE THE WORLD.

We believe that when people get to know the one true God that their lives will be changed forever.  Their past stays a thing of the past because Jesus gives us the chance to start new.

It doesn’t matter what your background looks like, God knows you, He loves you, and He accepts you just as you are.  But he loves you too much to leave you how he found you. A new life in the fullness of God is available for you.

Meet the Bramans

We are Joshua and Nicole Braman. We are in our mid 30s and happily married since 2013. We have four amazing kids: Lionel (2015), Evangeline (2017), Benaiah (2019), and Ezra (2021).

Josh was born and raised in Minnesota, USA. He met his wife Niki in 2010 in Herrnut, Germany where they attended a discipleship training school with Youth with a Mission (YWAM). In 2011 his heart for Germany and Niki grew and after he finished his Bachelors degree at North Central University in Minnesota, he moved to Niki’s hometown in Wiesbaden, Germany. He spent the last 5 years as the youth pastor of the FCGWI and is an ordained pastor in the Bund freikirchlicher Pfingstgemeinden (BfP KdöR)

Niki is a middle school teacher, passionate preacher and wonderful mom.

Together we are part of ARC Churches (Association of related Churches in Birmingham, Alabama).
